I Love Carson City’s Weekend Event Summary: Oct. 7 - 8

Some weekends are pretty cut and dry, just a few things to choose among. This, however, is not one of those weekends. High-flying, death-defying action takes over the Minden Airport as the Aviation Roundup Air Show takes to the skies. Pasta-lovers won’t want to miss the Eldorado Great Italian Festival in downtown Reno. Carson City’s monthly Downtown Wine Walk gets a dose of nostalgia as the Western Airstream Convention sets up shop and welcomes the curious. Virginia City’s annual Outhouse Races this weekend are as silly as they sound. Keep reading, though, there’s even more fun stuff below.

Kids have lots of options, too. The 4-H’s annual National Youth Science Day is open to all. The Little Blessings Fall Festival in the Methodist Church will have fun for the whole family. Get there early for the Fall Harvest and Scarecrow Festival in Gardnerville’s Heritage Park if you want to make a scarecrow of your own.

It might be a blustery Sunday, but the snow isn’t falling yet so enjoy what’s left of our Indian Summer. The Carson City BMX season is coming to an end soon, go check out their races at Livermore Sports Complex.
