Carson City Sheriff's Office patrol officers responded Wednesday night to shots fired into a residence in the 2200 block fo East Long Street.

Only one DUI arrest reported on New Year's Eve in Carson City for the end of 2020

In a great way to start the New Year, only one DUI was reported by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office last night on New Year’s Eve in what is surely the lowest number in recent years.

A suspect involved in a pursuit Thursday faces multiple charges after fleeing the scene of a traffic stop and then driving his car into the Nevada Railroad Museum's railroad turntable ditch, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

A 33-year-old man was arrested Oct. 31 for a felony warrant alleging embezzlement of a motor vehicle, according to a Carson City sheriff's office booking report.

Traffic accident reported at Fairview and Highway 50 Friday afternoon

At 3:19 p.m. a traffic accident was reported at the intersection of Fairview and Highway 50.

First responders are currently enroute to the scene.

Motorists should seek alternate routes or use caution within the area.

Traffic delays on US50 East compounded by 2 crashes, Halloween festivities at Centennial Park

UPDATE 7:13PM: Traffic should be cleared in all directions after 7:30 p.m. said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. With two vehicle crashes earlier and the Boo-Nanza Halloween celebration at Centennial Park that ended at 7 p.m., traffic along Highway 50 East has been significantly impacted with delays.

Carson City emergency crews called to 3-vehicle crash at Highway 50 and Fairview

Carson City Fire Department sheriff's deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol were called to a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at Highway 50 East and Fairview Drive. No one was seriously injured.

South Carson Street returns to 2-way traffic in time for Nevada Day, wrap up work continues

South Carson Street now has new sidewalks, fresh roadway, improved lighting, and landscaping, with more landscaping to come. The street is back to two-way traffic in time for Nevada Day.

East and westbound lanes shut down on Fairview and Saliman Saturday due to vehicle collision, careflight enroute

UPDATE 1:02 p.m.: Careflight has taken off and is now enroute to Renown with one patient.

UPDATE 12:48 p.m.: careflight has landed at the east side of the prison for transport.

Tows are enroute to Fairview and Saliman, both vehicles are inoperable.

Just before 12:40 p.m. a two vehicle crash was reported on Fairview and I-580.

According to deputies on scene one person is lying on the ground.

All westbound and eastbound traffic has been stopped on Fairview and traffic is being diverted.

Careflight is enroute to the scene.

Trio arrested for organized retail theft after allegedly returning thousands of dollars of stolen property to local hardware stores

A 53-year-old transient man, a 60-year-old Tenasca, Wash. man and a 34-year-old Fernley man were arrested in the 400 block of Fairview Drive Wednesday for possession of a stolen vehicle, organized retail theft, conspiracy to commit fraud, and possession of heroin.

Carson City Complete Streets Project, roundabout nears finish in time for Nevada Day

A 24-year-old man was booked Friday for two counts suspected gross misdemeanor open and gross lewdness following an incident in which he was captured on a Ring door bell camera doing a lewd act.
