CARSON CITY — Kids and teens ages 10-14 in Carson City will join more than 150,000 children across the country in leading the 11th annual 4-H National Youth Science Day challenge throughout the month of October. This year’s challenge, Code Your World, teaches young people computer science skills through four engaging hands-on activities.

Over the next week, as part of National 4-H Week, youth in Nevada will join over 100,000 youth across the world in leading the ninth annual 4-H National Youth Science Day challenge.

The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Carson City/ Storey County Office is hosting 4-H National Youth Science Day on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at 2621 Northgate Lane Suite No. 15.

4-H National Youth Science Day is the world's largest youth-led science experiment. Every year thousands of youth are taking part in the National Science Experiment focusing on important STEM topics and issues.
