Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021 that there is an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The agency is also reporting 16 new cases and 133 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region.

Carson City Sheriff's Office requests public's help in locating runaway juvenile

On December 14, 2020 Xavier Pierce ran away from his home in Carson City. Xavier is believed to be in the Carson City area and may be riding a red bicycle.

On Thursday morning, December 17, 2020 Xavier’s mother discovered his wet clothing in their garage and it appeared he changed his clothing. Xavier does not have any medical problems and is not considered at risk.

Xavier has returned to his mother’s home on at least two different occasions, the most recent being on January 4, 2021.

Xavier’s mother believes he is coming to the home when she is gone to change clothes.
