Carson High School (CHS) is pleased to celebrate Senior Brandon Engels’ commitment to bowl for Hastings College, one of the top college bowling teams in the country.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region. The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. Sierra Lutheran High School is also hosting a Christmas craft fair on Saturday. Combined with live music and virtual events, there’s plenty of activity happening in the state capital! Plenty of activities around Carson City are returning for all to enjoy throughout the summer. From hiking and biking trails and campgrounds, to several outdoor recreational activities, there are many ways to get outside and enjoy the warm weather.

Bowling is back at the Carson Lanes Family Fun Center and Gold Dust West Casino in Carson City.

Under the new provisions from the Nevada Gaming Commission, bowling alleys have instituted safety measures to keep families and guests safe. These safety measures include maximum lane capacity and sanitization of all equipment.

Heading into the first of the work week, there's some uncertainty due to concerns over the coronavirus. Some activities will go on as scheduled while others may be canceled. We're advising you check with event organizers ahead of time before you plan on attending.

Happy Saturday Carson City! It’s going to be another beautiful day in the capital city, so make sure the get your sunshine while you can!

We’ve got a bunch of great events in the region through the weekend, so check below!

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region over the next three days. Dozens of sweets are in store for Saturday. The American Association of University Women holds its 20th annual Feast of Chocolate at the Carson Plaza and Event Center. Artsy Fartsy Gallery hosts its 9th annual Jewelry and Chocolate Show with several new decorative pieces. To cap-off Saturday, the legendary Cab Calloway Orchestra makes its way to the capital city.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, we can expect sunshine and a gradual warmup. Midweek events around town include art showings, yoga and meditation classes, Salsa dancing at Yaple's Ballroom, country and pop dancing at Carson Lanes, a safety workshop for women and more.

Heading into the Super Bowl weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the monthly downtown Carson City wine walk, plus karaoke at Bella Vita Bistro and Y-NOT Saloon. The Forest Service begins its first “Ski With a Ranger” at Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Mountain Resort on Friday. Combined with championship football festivities on Sunday, the Silver State is in store for a wild, good time.

Heading into the middle of the work week and the final three of January, the capital city can expect a slight cool down weather wise with some sunshine and clouds. Events Wednesday include art showings, music, Salsa dancing at Yaple's Ballroom, country and pop dancing at Carson Lanes, a safety workshop for women and more.

Relay for Life of Carson City, Douglas County 2020 is having their kickoff Bowl-a-thon at Carson Lanes located at 4600 Snyder Ave. Carson City on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. Come and enjoy an afternoon of bowling and learn about Relay. All are welcome!
