Join us and celebrate spring and the powerful works by Martin A. David and Shaun T. Griffin. Martin shares his "Evolutions" retrospective spanning the 1960's through today, with 98 pieces of his life's work. Shaun's "Border Stories" focus on borders, and the impact on migrants and society.

Our artisan gallery is also filled with stunning works from beaded Native American moccasins and drums to silk scarves, jewelry, poetry books, and more.

Admission is complimentary, light refreshments will be served.

Jacqueline Milagros Acosta-Bruno was born Nov. 17, 2002 at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nev., to Claudia Bruno and Hector Acosta. She has four younger brothers and sisters, all attending Carson City Schools, as well as a sibling just 18-months-old.

Carson City museum offers family programs, historical lectures and more in January

The Nevada State Museum, Carson City offers a slate of in-person and online programs in January, ranging from online family projects to historical lectures. Douglas County cancels public holiday events due to increase in COVID-19 cases

MINDEN — After consultation with the Douglas County Officials, the Towns, public safety agencies, and Douglas County Emergency Management it was determined in-person public holiday events at the Towns of Gardnerville, Genoa, and Minden, as well as the 25th Annual Parade of Lights hosted by the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce have been cancelled.

Carson City museum to re-open Wednesday with pine tree presentation

The Nevada State Museum, Carson City, will reopen Wednesday; visitors will be able to learn about pine trees during the Curator’s Corner presentations from 1 to 3 p.m. Additionally, the museum this Saturday will resume its weekly demonstrations of historic Coin Press No. 1, minting a special medallion honoring Nevada’s health care heroes.
