The Brewery Arts Center is proud to present a new exhibition in the Artisan Gallery, the works of Adam Whitney. After re-imagining the space formerly a full time artisan store for traveling exhibitions, the BAC is offering temporary showcases of the works of local artists in between the exhibitions from out of the area. Having recently closed the popular Snoopy and the Red Baron Exhibition on loan from the Charles M. Shultz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA they have created a new show focusing on the themes of acceptance and healing with the art of multi-talented Adam Whitney.

CARSON CITY — V&T Railway is celebrating Halloween with family-friendly and spooky railbike rides. Running Friday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 25 and Wednesday, Oct. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 31, V&T Railway will offer children and adult focused haunted railbike rides at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.

First wine walk since COVID-19 shut down sells 327 tickets, brings wine-lovers to downtown Carson City

The first wine walk since the COVID-19 shutdown took place today in Downtown Carson City, bringing 327 patrons to the popular warm-weather event.

Patrons had their temperature checks upon check in, and masks were required while inside businesses.

According to event hosts, no one had been turned away for a high temperature or cold-like symptoms, but some had been turned away for not purchasing tickets ahead of time, as required.

Carson City arrests: Domestic battery suspect accused of throwing bowl oranges, TV remote

A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday in the 1600 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery after allegedly throwing oranges and a TV remote at the male victim and then twisting his private parts when he attempted to call for help.

The original famous 'Awful Awful' Burger is still available at the Carson Nugget

The famous Awful Awful Burger was created by Dick Graves at the Carson Nugget on March 1, 1954. Dick Graves opened the Carson Nugget Casino and served the first Awful Awful Burger for only 55 cents on opening day of the Carson Nugget.

CARSON CITY — As a result of COVID-19, V&T Railway Commission has announced that fan favorite, Polar Express, has been cancelled for the 2020 season. In its place, V&T Railway will host Santa’s Drive-Thru Village, a socially distanced holiday event, Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 18-24.
