Wednesday, Nov. 29: Things to do in Carson City
We are days away from a winter wonderland: halls will be decked, and everything will be merry and bright. On Thursday, Gardnerville will flip the switch on its holiday lights, with help from Santa. Friday, the capital city hosts the Silver and Snowflakes Tree Lighting Celebration, as well as the very yummy Empty Bowls Soup Fest. Saturday, in addition to Carson City’s monthly downtown wine walk and the annual Holiday with a Hero Crawl, Minden holds its annual Christmas Parade. And on Sunday, the residents of Dayton can participate in their tree lighting ceremony; just remember your ugly sweater. Head over to Browsers Corner, by the Library, and check out their holiday bazaar; you’ll find gift-worthy crafts, art sets, and something to read on these cold, winter nights.
