Tuesday, August 18: Things to do in Carson City
Motown and art hit the stage today at the Community Center as part of the ongoing Jazz and Beyond festival. Well, the CCAI art show and sale opens at 5 p.m. in the theater lobby. The Carson Animal Shelter Initiative has a meeting this evening, and there is sure to be a lot to cover. Their major fundraiser, ‘Bark, Whine, and Dine,’ hits Fuji Park on August 29. Head to the Library for craft time to hear a story and make your own storybook. Dancers will want to head to the south end of town. Line Dancing is at Carson Lanes. Beginners can learn to swing dance at El Charro Avita.
