Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo: Things to do in Carson City
The first Tuesday of every month belongs to the Carson City Classic Cinema Club. Every month they meet for a classic movie, trivia and discussion. Join them at Red’s Old 395 for The Big Trees with Kirk Douglas. Few performers are more classic than the Three Stooges: on this day in 1934 the released their first short film, Women Haters.

A very happy birthday to Carson Now’s own, Jeff Munson, too, this website just wouldn’t be the same without him. He shares the day with such notables as journalist Nellie Bly, novelist and journalist Christopher Morley, English journalist and activist Ray Gosling, and journalist Brian Williams. I’m seeing a pattern here.
