Are you ready to paint the town green? St. Patrick’s Day quickly approaches and there will be plenty of Irish action throughout town. The festivities start this weekend with the annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fest in Virginia City, complete with a parade and saloon crawl.

Before you grab some laughs at the new comedy club upstairs at the Carson Nugget, enjoy a champagne toast at the ribbon cutting of Alatte, the Nugget’s new coffee and wine bar. Stereo Galaxy will rock you at the Westside Pour House and DJ Cowboy Bobby is ready to play you some country tunes at the Eleventh Frame Lounge in Carson Lanes.

It’s opening night for the cast of 101 Dalmatians, Jr. at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall. Break a leg, Wild Horse Children’s Theater!

Nevada State Police has identified a Northern California man who died in a fatal crash last month on I-80 in Fernley.

Carson High School will host its First Annual Art Expo, showcasing the talents of its student artists in photography, graphic design, drawing, painting and ceramics Thursday, May 16, from 5-7 p.m.

A 40-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of carrying a concealed knife without a permit, a gross misdemeanor offense, and misdemeanor disturbing the peace, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
