Dead Winter Carpenters rock Levitt AMP Carson City outdoor Music Series
The Dead Winter Carpenters brought a bluegrass and country flair to the fourth annual Levitt AMP outdoor Music Series on Saturday.
Attendees by the hundreds filled the Change Companies Stage on Minnesota Street at the Brewery Arts Center to soak in another warm summer night with a pair of terrific live performances.
Reno artist Spike McGuire took the stage first as the opening act with an even mix of punk rock and folk music. Dead Winter Carpenters took over at 8:15 p.m. and brought dozens of attendees off their feet and grooving to the dance floor.
Along with live music, several activities kept participants occupied. Families and kids of all ages took part in games, a photo booth and playing musical instruments.
Food trucks, alcoholic beverages and snow cones were served for any interested attendees to cap-off a night full of excitement.
Presented by the BAC, the Levitt AMP Music Series helps transform the heart of downtown Carson City’s Historic District into a thriving cultural destination.
The series runs every Saturday at 8 p.m. from June 22 to Aug. 24 at the Change Companies stage on Minnesota Street. The series features an electric lineup of various artists and styles of music. One opening act will kick-off the concert at 7 or 7:30 p.m. before the headline performance.
