“Always Lost: A Meditation on War” exhibit returns to the Nevada Legislative Building atrium today as part of an Official Nevada Sesquicentennial Statewide Tour where it will remain until April 22. The opening ceremony is this morning from 10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. featuring speakers, Presentation of the Colors, and the Sounding of Taps.
In addition to poetry and artwork, the exhibition includes Pulitzer Prize-winning Iraq War combat photographs courtesy of The Dallas Morning News and a study of Spc. Noah Pierce, who took his own life after two tours in Iraq. Created by Western Nevada College students in 2009, the exhibit has been touring the country since 2010 and is booked well into 2016.
Also opening today is a new exhibit in the Legislature’s LXS Gallery titled ‘The Observation and Conclusion’ by artist Joseph Watson.
