Carson City man booked after Ring video shows alleged lewd act on door bell camera

A 24-year-old man was booked Friday for two counts suspected gross misdemeanor open and gross lewdness following an incident in which he was captured on a Ring door bell camera doing a lewd act.

According to the arrest report, deputies were contacted regarding suspicious circumstances in the area of Arbor Road. Deputies learned the male suspect had been in front of a patio at a residence and at a patio at a neighboring residence, at around 1:18 a.m. The suspect appeared to be intoxicated from an unknown substance and was dancing and moving items on the patios.

The suspect then left the area, and returned at around 2 a.m. where he exposed himself and masturbated in front a residence, which was captured on a Ring doorbell camera, the arrest report states.

The deputy was provided a computer thumb drive and footage from the Ring doorbell camera incident. Both neighbors informed officers they wanted to press charges against the man for exposing himself in front of their property, the arrest report states.

The arresting deputy was advised, later, by another deputy that the suspect was also the suspect of a call earlier, in which he was arrested for other charges. In that incident, there was also Ring camera video footage, which matched the person seen in the second Ring video. Bail amount listed: $5,000.

According to the arrest report, deputies were called to an apartment regarding a woman who was walking up and down a hallway, being loud and holding a golf club. Deputies arrived and observed the hallway to be in disarray. Deputies spoke with a neighbor who advised they didn't want to press charges and instead requested the woman go to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. The neighbor advised the woman never used a golf club on her.

Officers knocked multiple times on the suspect's door. The officer then saw the suspect, who walked toward him, screaming and yelling. The officer asked the suspect what happened. The woman flipped off the deputy, and refused to talk, and approached him with her fists clenched, the report states.

A neighbor stepped outside and told the woman to go back inside. The woman continued to scream. The deputy asked if their peace had been disturbed. The neighbor said yes. After telling the woman to go inside approximately 10 times, the deputy placed the woman into custody. The woman resisted, told the deputy she was going to kill him, and then attempted to run into her apartment as she was in custody.

With the help of another deputy, the officers were able to put the woman in a patrol vehicle. She was taken to jail and booked for suspicion of intimidating a peace officer, (her threat to kill the officer) and attempted escape (she was in custody and attempted to flee) resisting arrest and disturbing the peace. The officer could smell strong odor of alcohol on his breath and he had red watery eyes. The man was asked if he would participate in field sobriety tests. The man consented and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .215 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he consented to a blood draw. Bail: $1,137.
