Man jailed for indecent exposure after allegedly urinating near door of casino

A 33-year-old Carson City man faces a gross misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure after allegedly urinating near the west door entrance of a Carson City casino early Monday morning.

Officers were called to the casino, located in the 2700 block of East William Street, at 2:40 a.m. after security reported an intoxicated man who wouldn't leave the premise. Two witnesses noted the man urinated on the side of the building, and it was also seen on casino surveillance.

The metal objects were made from the top of an Ajax can. One was shaped into a key, presumably to get out of handcuffs, and the other was transformed into a thin piece of metal, shaped into a sharp object, presumably to hurt someone.

A Carson City woman faces a felony forgery charge after she allegedly took a check that was given to her for $12 and altered it to $120, authorities said.

Marlena Acosta, 27, faces the felony charge, and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer, after Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies learned March 5 that a check issued to the woman from FISH for $12 — to be used to obtain a Nevada identification card from the DMV — had been altered to $120 and cashed.

Carson City deputies make several court warrant arrests

Carson City sheriff's deputies have made several court violation arrests since Monday. The arrests have been both misdemeanor and felony related. Arrests have also been made that involved domestic abuse, theft, driving under the influence of drugs and huffing.

Deputies arrested a 28-year-old transient with outstanding felony and gross misdemeanor warrants. Melanie Huddleston, was arrested early Wednesday morning, 3:16 a.m. at a casino in the 3800 block of Highway 50 East.

Carson City woman with stun gun in her purse jailed on felony drug charges

A 42-year-old Carson City woman was jailed Saturday and faces two felony drug charges and a charge of being a felon in possession of an electronic stun gun.

Patricia Louise Barkley, was arrested at 12:11 p.m. April 20 on East Nye. According to the arrest report, officers stopped a vehicle based on information that the owner faced a warrant for his arrest.

Two men face felony charges including forgery and obtaining money under false pretenses after being arrested Saturday in Carson City.

Stefan Lee Houser, 21, of Dayton and Joel David Germain, 43, of Long Beach, Calif., were arrested at 4:45 p.m. April 13 in the area of Lone Mountain and Winnie Lane.

Carson City authorities remained busy over the weekend, making several DUI and drug-related arrests.
Officers responded to cases involving stalking, threats and assault, arrest records from this weekend show. Also, the investigation continues into Sunday's vandalism discovery on the west side of Carson City where several vehicles, a church, school and homes were damaged either by BB gun shots or rocks.

Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said that as of Monday morning reports of vandalism were still coming into the sheriff's office. There have been up to about a dozen reports of vandalism done to cars, houses, schools, businesses and a church, he said.

Two men were arrested Sunday and face felony charges after attempting to steal air compressors from a vacant Carson City building. Arrested were Geoffrey Earl Meudt, 39, of Gardnerville and Steven Walter Cozad, 30, of Wellington, Nev. Both are being held and face charges of being in possession of burglary tools and gross misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to commit theft.

Carson City man jailed after taking his dislike for police patrol cars to another level

A 51-year-old Carson City man who made it abundantly clear he doesn't like police patrol cars parked near his home, was arrested Sunday and faces gross misdemeanor charges including assault on an officer and a blatant misuse of dialing 911.

According to the arrest report a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy responded at around 7 p.m. to the 1400 block of Stanford Drive on a larceny report. As the officer left his patrol car to retrieve a statement form, he heard someone nearby shout the following: "Get this this f****** piece of s***, f******* cop car the f*** off my property."

Carson City authorities make felony drug trafficking arrest

A Carson City man was arrested and faces multiple felony drug charges after authorities found 14 grams of meth hidden in the man's underwear.

Eduardo Segura, 27, was arrested at Hot Springs Road and Roop at 10 a.m. Feb. 8. He was pulled over because of a vehicle license plate that was missing. Upon contact, officers recognized him because of other entanglements with the law including time in prison that involved a Carson City shooting in which he was deported to Mexico following the sentence, the arrest report states.

Man jailed after police foot chase through Carson City restaurant

A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested after officers were led in a foot pursuit that went inside a busy local restaurant. The man, identified as Tony Clarence Wilson, was tasered on the patio of the establishment located in the 1000 block of South Carson Street.

Wilson faces a felony charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of a suspended sentence. The arrest happened Feb. 1 at 8:30 p.m.

Carson City deputies make arrests in robbery, stabbing cases

Two Carson City men were arrested and face felony robbery charges. Orion Tova, 42, and Kyle Carpenter, 25, were arrested as a result of a confrontation that was said to be about the victim having stolen money from the suspect's mother who said he was trying to get it back.

Carson City authorities arrested two men, both with felony convictions, on various felony weapon and drug charges after a traffic stop at 11:45 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 1400 block of Rand. A loaded rifle "ready to fire" tucked in the front seat of the vehicle, knives and methamphetamine were confiscated.

Dareck Gregory Pollock, 38, of Wellington, and Robert Lee Hill, 37, of Ridgecrest were taken into custody by Carson City authorities after a search of the men and vehicle turned up the gun, knives and drugs.

Carson City roommates fight over computer repair time, one jailed for battery

A 63-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 22 after allegedly pushing and punching his roommate, a senior citizen, to the ground in an argument over a computer issue.
The victim, said to be at least 65 years of age, went to the Carson City Sheriff's Office at 5:53 p.m. to report the battery. He told authorities that his roommate broke his cell phone in half when he attempted to call police for help.

A Reno man faces several misdemeanor charges after Carson City authorities found him in an empty lot siphoning gasoline from a work truck.

The 34-year-old man was arrested at 1:09 a.m. Dec. 18 in the 300 block of Hot Springs Road and faces charges of petit larceny, gross misdemeanor possessing burglary tools, possession of stolen property, tampering with a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 52-year-old Carson City man faces a gross misdemeanor charge of violating a restraining order after a complaint from a woman concerned about her 14-year-old daughter whom the man had made frequent attempts at contacting, authorities report.

Man faces felony fraud charges after credit card machine and cards found inside room

A San Francisco man was arrested and faces felony credit card forgery charges after equipment used to make cards was found inside a Carson City hotel room, authorities said.

Joshua Jeremiah Sims, 41, was arrested in the 900 block of South Carson Street Dec. 15 at 3:45 p.m. According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report, officers responded to a call about credit card making equipment found inside a room after Sims had failed to check out earlier in the day.

Carson City man faces felony home invasion charge

A Carson City man faces a felony charge of home invasion after kicking in the door of Hot Springs Road apartment and entering the home.
Jason Philip Curry, 24, was arrested Dec. 2 by Carson City authorities after he was found walking and intoxicated near the home several minutes after breaking into it.

According to the arrest report two deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Hot Springs Road for a reported break-in.

Carson City man facing assault charges on officers said to have 'abnormal strength'

More details have emerged following an arrest Friday in which several Carson City officers attempted to arrest a man, who reportedly had displayed abnormal human strength. The 35-year-old Carson City man, Tyrone Michael Tyson, faces multiple charges including battery and assault on police officers and resisting.
The arresting officer in the incident, who was injured, said in his seven years on the force, he had "never been in a fight this violent where all less lethal weapons were not effective." The Nevada Highway Patrol and Douglas County also responded to assist.

Rainbow Child and Family Services was sentenced for one gross misdemeanor offense of intentional failure to maintain adequate records by Clark County District Judge Valerie Adair and ordered to pay the $125,000 in restitution, penalties, and costs.

Gonzalo P. Cossio pled guilty to a Class E Felony and was sentenced to 30 months in jail, suspended, 3 years probation, a $1,000 fine and a $3,000 civil penalty.
As a condition of probation, Cossio will spend 90 days in jail.

A Gardnerville man in custody in Douglas County was transferred to Carson City Jail and faces warrant larceny and burglary charges.
Brookes Dickson, 23, is being held in the Carson City Jail. The warrants include felony burglar and misdemeanor larceny. Bail amount was set at $20,000.

— Justin Snyder, 35, a transient, was booked into Carson City Jail. He is being held on a felony parole and probation violation.

  • Jose Garcia-Gaona, 35, a Carson City man, at 1 p.m. Saturday. Garcia-Gaona was arrested for an unspecified felony warrant as well as trafficking of methamphetamines (588 grams). Bail is set at $252,500.

Carson City Sheriff's deputies have arrested the following individuals for felony or gross misdemeanor allegations:

  • Oscar John Stone, 49, a Woodland, Calif. man, at 12:30 a.m. Friday. Stone was arrested for gross lewdness after allegedly touching himself inappropriately while staring at a motel desk clerk. Bail is set at $2,500.
  • Solomon Tobias Jacoboni, 43, a Carson City man, at 7 a.m. today. Jacoboni was arrested for third-offense domestic battery. Bail is set at $10,000.

Crime Log: Woman arrested for indecent exposure inside casino

A 29-year-old woman from Salem, Oregon was arrested Wednesday afternoon by a Carson City Sheriff's deputy after finding her inside a casino naked from the waist down.

According to the arrest report, a deputy responded to the 5600 block of South Carson Street on a report of a woman inside the men's restroom not wearing pants. Casino security reported the woman removed her pants near the bar area and then entered the restroom.

Crime Log: Woman arrested for assault with deadly weapon

A domestic disturbance near Granite Circle and Castle Way early Wednesday morning led to the arrest of a woman for pointing a gun at another person.

Nancy Lopez, 33, of Carson City, was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic battery. Her bail was set at $23,000 plus court costs.

The person Lopez allegedly pointed the gun at, a 28-year-old Carson City man, was also arrested for gross misdemeanor domestic battery. His bail was set at $5,000.
