Carson City sheriff’s weekend arrest log: Jail inmate faces felony assault, drug charges
A 24-year-old inmate in the Carson City Jail faces a felony charge of battery by a prisoner after allegedly punching another inmate in the face on Sunday, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

He was originally stopped for going 40 mph in a 25 mph zone at Carson and Robinson streets. A K9 drug dog, Ivo, did an exterior sniff of the vehicle, which led to a positive alert and subsequent search.
