Eye on Carson: Saturday in Downtown
Summertime in Carson City is now in full stride, the busiest time of the season traditionally marked by the Fourth of July weekend.
Saturday afternoon in downtown Carson City featured the monthly Wine Walk, sponsored by the Downtown Business Association.
The streetscape and the people were adorned in the traditional red, white and blue of the holiday.
A few blocks to the south, the Nevada State Railroad Museum opened its throttle and pushed full steam ahead with its operations. Three steam trains ran Saturday to open the long holiday weekend: Virginia & Truckee Railroad Engine No. 25, The Glennbrook, and the McKean Motor Car
Earlier this morning was the weekly Third and Curry Saturday Farmer's Market.
And later this evening the Levitt-AMP Concert series continues at 7 p.m. on the Minnesota Street stage at the Brewery Arts Center.
The live music event is free to the public. Food trucks will be on hand to serve refreshments during the concert.
