Carson City assesses flood damage, city crews work to resolve closed roads
The Carson City Emergency Operations Center will close its operation at approximately 5 p.m. today. Damage assessment teams will continue their work through the week.
The National Weather Service states that snow is expected later tonight in the Carson City area, with the possibility of periods of heavy snow. We encourage drivers to exercise caution as road conditions can become dangerous.
Please be watchful of city crews working as they continue to mitigate and assess storm damage. City crews are actively working to resolve road closures. The following roads are closed:
— Fermi Road
— Curry Street between Lake Glenn Dr. and Rhodes St.
— 395 South towards Gardnerville at Cradlebaugh Bridge (between Sunridge Drive and
Stephanie Way)
If you wish to recycle your sandbags you may drop them off at:
— City Corporate Yard: 3505 Butti Way
City offices will open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
