The Douglas County Sheriff's Office sergeant who was injured in a Dec. 20 shooting is returning to his Carson City home from the hospital today, Tuesday with a full law enforcement escort.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with City departments and multiple agencies throughout the region in order to facilitate Sunday’s planned campaign rally hosted by the Carson City Airport's Cactus Air Force, located at 2600 E. College Parkway.

The next Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting will take place Thursday, October 15, in the Bob Boldrick Theatre of the Community Center located at 851 E. William Street.

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic tele-luncheon will be Eric Biggart, Chair of LDS Democrats of America. The COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force met Thursday with seven counties flagged last week for having an elevated risk of transmission of the coronavirus. Based on data provided by the Department of Health and Human Services, six of the seven counties are still meeting at least two of the three criteria, signaling a sustained elevated risk of transmission.

A group of about thirty Black Lives Matter protesters from Gardnerville, Carson City and Lake Tahoe took to the streets of Douglas County today, where they were met with hundreds of heavily armed counter-protesters, some of whom were physically and verbally assaulting the mostly-teenaged protesters.
