Carson City sheriff's arrest log: Two jailed Friday night for disorderly

Three men were arrested Friday night in the area of Robinson and Pratt, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said, including two of them for misdemeanor disorderly conduct involving alcohol.

According to the arrest report, a Sheriff's deputy was on patrol in downtown Carson City when one male subject was observed to be stumbling in a cross walk while the light was illuminated red.

After the deputy had turned his patrol vehicle around to check on the subject, the 23 year-old Carson City man appeared to be taunting the officer by throwing his hands up at him, the report said.

Upon making contact with the subject, the deputy observed he was very intoxicated, talking to his brother in their front yard about beating up people on bicycles, the report said.

As the two men spoke, a pair of elderly women rode by the residence in the 800 block of Robinson Street. The suspect responded by yelling at them, "What up?! We own this f***ing block," the report said.

The deputy had called for a back-up unit as he approached the suspect, the report said. At that moment, two more male subjects walked up to the suspect's residence carrying beer containers, which where then set down in the street.

One of the subjects, a 31 year-old Carson City man, was wearing rubber gloves and appeared to carrying a bat, the report said. He stopped briefly to urinate on a bush.

Deputies spoke first with the 31 year-old and a 22 year-old Carson City man with him.

The 31 year-old suspect denied carrying a bat when asked about it, the report said, even though he had placed the bat on the bush he had just urinated on. He also said he was wearing rubber gloves to keep his hands warm.

The 23 year-old intoxicated suspect was also interviewed by law enforcement. He was argumentative with deputies, the report said, denying that he was yelling at anyone.

A preliminary breath test (PBT) was performed on the 23 year-old, showing breath alcohol content (BAC) of .214 percent, the report said.

This suspect also had an outstanding bench warrant for theft issued out of Douglas County, the report said, confirmed by records check.

He was subsequently handcuffed and arrested for the warrant, as well as for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, intoxicated pedestrian and disobeying a traffic control device, the report said. Bail: $150.

Records checks were also performed on the 31 year-old and 22 year-old suspects. The former was on confirmed supervision through the Carson City Department of Alternative Sentencing (DAS) with no-alcohol, drugs or drug paraphernalia clauses, the report said.

He was found to be in possession of alcohol, marijuana and a marijuana grinder, all of which were violation of his DAS conditions. The suspect was handcuffed for these and for disorderly conduct of urinating in public, the report said. Bail: $3,000.

The 22 year-old suspect was arrested for misdemeanor failure to register as a convicted felon after a records check confirmed prior convictions for robbery and controlled substance, the report said.

He was also arrested for misdemeanor possession of an open alcohol container. Bail: $150.

All three where transported to the Carson City Jail where they were booked. The arrests were made at at 9:57 p.m.

In other bookings:
— A 38 year-old woman and a 34 year-old man, both of Carson City, were arrested Friday night at 9:19 p.m. in the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 50 East for felony possession of controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

According to the report, Amanda Stockton and Jonathan Baumgardner were taken into custody following a traffic stop of their vehicle, which failed to stop initially after law enforcement had activated emergency lights.

Upon making contact with the driver, Baumgardner, and his passenger, Stockton, Sheriff's deputies requested the pair exit the vehicle.

Baumgardner did not have a driver's license, the report said, only an identification card.

A records check confirmed an outstanding felony warrant for Stockton from Tennessee on drug possession charges, the report said.

Consent was given for deputies to search the vehicle, the report said.

A spoon with black and white residue on it was found. The substance tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine, the report said.

Stockton admitted to recently using the spoon, and having needle concealed in her bra. Baumgardner admitted to testing positive for drug use a week earlier, the report said.

The recovered needle contained a liquid that also tested presumptive positive or meth, the report said.

The pair was subsequently handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail for each: $2,500.
