Thompson was arrested for the felonies of possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, a gross misdemeanor of possession of a dangerous weapon, and misdemeanors of possession of a hypodermic device, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to maintain a single lane, violation of a suspended sentence, and not having a valid drivers' license. Costa on Wed, 01/11/2012 - 2:05pmCarson City Sheriff's deputies arrested Shelbie Kae Montgomery, 26, a sales associate from Carson City, for gross misdemeanor posession of prescription drugs without a prescription, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Montgomery was arrested at around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the 4200 block of South Carson Street. Bail is set at $4,100 plus administrative fees.
Not long after this, Carson City Detention inmate Kyle Montgomery Carpenter, 23, was booked on two additional felony warrants in his name for battery with a deadly weapon.
Crime Log: Man arrested for stealing cancer patient's medication
Submitted by T. Costa on Thu, 01/05/2012 - 1:03pmCarson City Sheriff's deputies arrested Orion Johnathan Haines, 20, a Carson City resident, at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the 1900 block of North Carson Street.
Officers were dispatched to the location to apprehend a fleeing felon. The felon in question was quickly apprehended. Haines refused several times to comply with officers after his friend was arrested, and was discovered to have allegedly stolen medications from a cancer patient that lived next door to him.

DOJ Reports $5.6 Billion In Fraud Recoveries In 2011, $8.3 Million In Nevada

Lieberman, 30, at the corner of Fall and Long streets Wednesday afternoon, for felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched after a call was placed about a person possibly selling drugs. Deputies spotted the subject - later identified as Lieberman - near the FISH store, acting nervously and clenching his left fist. Being told to relax made the subject more nervous.

New texting while driving law results in felony arrest

According to the arrest report, the driver, Gilberto Paredes-Estrada, 27, of Carson City, was found to have a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. He also allegedly gave the deputy a false ID, a felony. He was arrested and put on Immigration Customs Enforcement hold.

The Labor Day holiday weekend produced a high volume of traffic on northern Nevada highways resulting in a large number of calls for service. During the three-day weekend, nineteen people were arrested in the Reno-Sparks area with fifteen of those arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Troopers assigned to the Carson City area logged 3 DUI arrests. The DUI arrest activity for Lovelock, Fernley, Fallon and Hawthorne was not available this morning.

According to the arrest report, deputies were in the Carson River Road area checking out a report of a possible homicide. A woman reported that she and her friend were hitchhiking, and ended up at an abandoned house in the area with two male subjects. The woman said she ran away after hearing a gunshot, fearing that her friend had been killed.

According to the arrest report, Shannon Gatlin, 28, was stopped by a store security officer in the 700 block of Old Clear Creek Road after he spotted the suspect removing the items from their packaging and hiding them, and trying to walk outside without paying for them. Gatlin allegedly admitted to several other thefts at the store over the last few weeks.
Carson City woman arrested for felony DUI, drug possession

According to the arrest report, a deputy observed a blue Toyota Prius driven by Monette Martin, 52, drive through the road closed barricade at the corner of Saliman and Robinson streets. After stopping her, the deputy reported that he smell alcohol and gave the suspect a field sobriety test, which she wasn't able to complete satisfactorily. A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol level of .127.

Man arrested after allegedly trying to hit woman with car

According to the arrest report, Anthony Todd Martin, 30, was also found in possession of burglary tools, equipment used for syphoning gasoline, drug paraphernalia, a prescription drug that didn't belong to the suspect, and a cache of jewelry that matched the description of items listed as stolen in a string of recent burglaries in the area.

California man faces multiple felony charges following Carson City chase

The suspect had been detained by store security after allegedly emerging from a dressing room without the items she entered with. She was also allegedly found to be in possession of a bottle of pills including morphine for which she did not have a prescription. Bail was set at $5,000.
Traffic stop leads to felony marijuana arrest

A Carson City Sheriff's deputy stopped Anthony Honeycutt, 33, in the 4100 block of South Carson Street after the suspect reportedly tried to turn the wrong way and almost hit the deputy's vehicle. According to the arrest report, the deputy noticed a book on how to grow marijuana on the rear seat of the suspect's vehicle when he approached. He also noticed the smell of marijuana when talking to the suspect, and a plastic purple pail with baggies in it on the floorboard.

Opinion: Legislature assures uninterrupted supplies for crystal meth production

Officers like the Carson City deputies who discovered a boy being held in a makeshift home prison by his meth-addicted parents.
The same day that story broke, State Senator Sheila Leslie had to pull a bill that is designed to seriously interrupt the availability of essential ingredients for methamphetamine production, because it didn't have the support it needs to pass the Senate.

At about 8:09 Thursday night a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper drove up to a single vehicle accident in the southbound lane on Highway 395 at the off-ramp to Carson Street. The accident involved a red Oldsmobile driven by a Carson City resident, reports Trooper Dan Lopez.

Her bail has been set at $4,871. In a recorded interview, the woman admitted to having used heroin earlier Thursday night.
California man arrested for impersonating a game warden

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for impersonating a California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) warden in Tulare County.
Joshua Adam O’Daniel, a Terra Bella resident, was sought by law enforcement for allegedly claiming to be a game warden making a field contact with a mother and daughter.
On Dec. 30, 2010, the mother and daughter were parked along Blueridge Road in rural Tulare County when O’Daniel stopped his pickup nearby and approached them.

Samantha Nelson, 19, was arrested after being stopped on Saturday at Fourth and Carson streets. A passenger in the vehicle, Ryan Musto, 22, was also arrested and faces a felony drug charge as well as providing false identification to authorities.
