BAC's Carson City Flatbed Concert Series brings Moxy Ruckus to new neighborhood Saturday

The Brewery Arts Center will deliver live music directly to the citizens of Carson City while practicing social distancing once again this week. Miles Construction Company has generously donated the use of a Flatbed Truck and with financial support from The Change Companies, the Nauman Foundation, and Carson Tahoe Hospital, the BAC is proud to bring you Moxy Ruckus this 4th of July holiday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the neighborhood by Eagle Valley Middle School.
This 5 member band plays decades of Rock & Roll and 80’s and 90’s and current dance music with lots of sing-a-long opportunies for total fun engaging with their audience.
Mylo McCormick and Mo DeHaviland of Mo’z Motley Blues met Michael Angel (of Jump Start) to create a new band during the Covid Lockdown period.
The band is rounded out by powerhouse bassist Tim Goldsmith and drummer Zachary Howarth, a UNR grad student. The band is a true mix of Battleborn State musicians who are delighted to offer a 4th of July Show for our Capitol.
The flatbed stage will be leisurely driving throughout the by Eagle Valley Middle School from 6 to 9 p.m. this Saturday, July 4. The BAC strongly encourages social distancing and especially wearing masks when they stop by the larger, open spaces and parks to perform a few songs. The BAC will be giving out art kits to the kids provided by Southwest Gas Company and even face masks if you need one.
BAC Operations Director Mike Wiencek, who actually drives the truck carrying the band says, “It is so amazing to see the families, friends, and neighbors coming outside to listen and dance to the music, while having a picnic on their front lawn, or just out enjoying the beautiful evening and sharing a fun experience, barrier free. The Brewery Arts Center prides itself on providing the community with quality art and entertainment, and since the people can’t come to us – we will bring it to them!”
There will be a map with the exact route on the front page of breweryarts.org or Facebook event page and keep up to date the concert location on their Facebook page or Instagram. The route will begin at Prison Hill Recreation Area and end at Korean War Veteran’s Memorial Park at the end of 5th street.
