Carson City sheriff's booking report: Deputies make burglary, drug and DUI arrests

A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested for suspicion of felony commercial burglary, possession of methamphetamine and heroin and four misdemeanor offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team report states.

Logan Daniel Anderson was taken into custody June 5, 2:51 p.m. in the area of College Parkway and Research. He was also booked on four misdemeanors: three contempt of court warrants and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A second person was also arrested, Michelle Louise Rickey, 35, for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, and four misdemeanor offenses: Driving with suspended registration, suspended driver's license, no proof of insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail for Anderson: $25,000. Total bail listed for Rickey: $5,108.

In other arrests:
— An 18-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, the suspect admitted to kicking the victim during an argument. Bail: $3,137.

— A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, for two misdemeanor warrants: One for violation of a suspended sentence and the other for violation of bail conditions. Bail: $4,000.

— A 61-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 5:16 p.m. in the 100 block of East Telegraph for suspicion of DUI.

According to the arrest report, officers were called to the area regarding an intoxicated subject. The man was located behind the steering wheel of a vehicle in a parking lot with the vehicle running. The man showed signs of intoxication. He agreed to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .193 and was taken into custody. At jail he agreed and consented to an evidentiary blood test. Bail: $1,137.

— A 47-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday in the area of East Telegraph Street for misdemeanor obstructing an officer. Bail: $637.

— A 24-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for suspicion of level 1 trafficking a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with intent and multiple misdemeanor offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team officer.

Charlie Jasper, 24, was taken into custody at 9:51 p.m. in the area of Nevada and Park streets. She was also was arrested for misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia, driving on an expired temporary registration, not have a license plate light, driving with an obstructed plate, and driving without a driver's license.

Also arrested as part of the investigation was Cindy Chambers, 46, for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, a SET deputy was patrolling the area just after 9:30 p.m. and witnessed a vehicle that didn't have a license plate light. The deputy followed the vehicle, and observed there wasn't a license plate affixed to the vehicle. The officer made a traffic stop, in which there was a female driver and female passenger. The passenger, Cindy Chambers, stated she had temporary registration and pointed to the windshield. She provided her name, date of birth and social security number.

The driver, identified as Charlie Jasper, stated she didn't have a valid license. She identified herself by name, date of birth and social security number. Chambers advised she was the owner of the vehicle. She was asked for proof one insurance. Chambers provided valid proof of insurance and a temporary registration that expired April 3, the arrest report states.

As part of the investigation, a canine did a free air sniff of the vehicle. The canine alerted positive for drugs. During the search officers located a meth pipe in the passenger door map book pocket, .4 grams of methamphetamine in a tan purse belonging to Chambers. The purse had identification cards with Chambers' name on them. Also located was a red baggie inside a cigarette box with 1 gram of meth in it. The cigarette box was located inside the tan purse belonging to Chambers.

Also located was a black camera case in the center console of the vehicle that contained a debit card with Jasper's first and last name on it. Located in the case was a methamphetamine in a case that weighed 3.0 grams and 3.1 grams. Also located in the case was $211 in small denominations in a tin. Also located was a purse that had ID documents of Jasper's. There was an eyeglass case inside that contained red baggies and two methamphetamine pipes, the report states.

Later at the detention center, Jasper was advised of her Miranda warning where she stated she understood and waived. Under Miranda Jasper admitted to knowledge of the meth inside the camera case. She stated she knew there was methamphetamine inside the black case but didn't know how much was inside, the report states. Bail for Jasper, $20,000. Bail for Chambers, $3,637.

— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday morning for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, failure to maintain a traffic lane and not having a license in possession.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a traffic accident in the area of Airport Road and Butti Way, where a vehicle had crashed into a curb and the driver was possibly intoxicated.

Deputies met with the driver, who advised he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the roadway. A deputy observed the man had a difficult time articulating the crash how it happened. The deputy asked the subject how much he had to drink. The man replied he had two beers. He agreed to participate in standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .135 and was taken into custody. At jail he agreed to a blood sample for evidentiary testing. Bail: $1,137.

— A 46-year-old Dayton man, Joseph James Carleboix, was arrested June 5 in the 1400 block of East William Street for a felony fugitive warrant issued out of La Paz County, Arizona.

— A 37-year-old transient, Vanessa Viridiana Lion, was arrested for felony suspicion of providing false identification to avoid prosecution, possession methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and a bench warrant. Bail: $10,000.

— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested June 5, in 3100 block of East Nye Lane for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, destruction of property and obstructing.

According to the arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to a convenience store for a domestic battery. The incident happened between the man and a female victim. The suspect was uncooperative when sheriff's deputies arrived, was asked to sit down on a nearby curb, and wouldn't comply, the report states.

He was detained, and still refused to sit on the curb, and was placed in the back of a patrol vehicle, where he was screaming, making nonsensical statements, and began to kick the rear passenger side window of the patrol unit.

Deputies learned the suspect had pushed the victim, who had blood on her knees. She denied medical attention. It was also learned the male suspect destroyed a glass display case at the store, valued at $400. Bail amount listed: $6,186.

On Saturday, April 20, Carson City Community Gardeners and the UNR Extension Master Gardeners came together to get the Community Garden ready for the growing season. For two hours they removed weeds, spread mulch and prepped their garden beds for the season.

Douglas County officials have announced that construction will begin soon on the first phase of the Muller Parkway Project.
