Carson City man attacks taxi driver, burglarizes home, fights deputies and attempts to damage patrol vehicle
A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 500 block of Southwest Court and Silver Sage Drive late Thursday evening for attempting burglary, resisting arrest, battery on a protected person, probation violation, and destruction of property.
Dakotah Orion Bliss-Erb was arrested after deputies were patrolling the area of Silver Sage and Clearview Drive when they observed a taxi parked on the corner with its hazards on.
Deputies pulled up and asked the driver if he was okay. The driver said yes he was fine but he had just been assaulted by a man who recently jumped out the window of the taxi cab.
The driver said the man had punched him in the forehead and took off in the area of Eagle Station and Silver Sage.
The driver gave the deputies the suspect’s destination. Deputies searched the area for the man but were unable to find him. When they went to the destination, the residents said they did not expect anyone to be arriving and a man did not live there.
Deputies were dispatched to a location 1000 feet south from the destination on reports of a burglary in progress. Deputies arrived to the location where they saw a male suspect, later identified as Bliss-Erb, behind the fence of the residence. The fence was broken and clearly destroyed.
Deputies told Bliss-Erb to put his hands up. Bliss-Erb then began to walk towards deputies in an aggressive manner with his fists clenched. He was then tased by deputies and continued to be uncooperative and fight deputies until he was restrained.
The reporting party stated that the fence was not broken before Bliss-Erb arrived, and there were clear footprints on the garage door which matched Bliss-Erb’s shoes. Damage to the fence and garage door was approximately $350 to repair, the report stated.
Dispatch advised Bliss-Erb was on alternative sentencing for burglary and other felonious offenses. One of his conditions was to obey all laws.
He provided a preliminary breath test which resulted in a .178 percent BAC. Alternative sentencing asked he be placed on a hold for probation violation.
During transport, Bliss-Erb continuously slammed his head on the back window of the patrol vehicle, and continued to be uncooperative with detention deputies upon arrival to the jail.
He was physically removed from the patrol vehicle and placed in a safety cell.
He was charged with attempted burglary, resisting a public officer, battery on a protected person, probation violation, and destruction of property.

— A 26-year-old Sacramento man was arrested at a local gas station after allegedly possessing methamphetamine, which he allegedly was attempting to sell to patrons, and drug paraphernalia at a local casino.
Deantae Dangerfield was arrested after deputies were called on a report of a man trying to sell drugs inside the casino. He was described by casino security as wearing a grey sweater, black pants and black shoes, and was currently attempting to sell drugs to another patron.
Upon arrival, the security advised the man was last seen walking eastbound on William. Deputies searched the area and located a man who matched the casino’s description and clothing at a local gas station. He was walking northbound on Lompa approaching Highway 50 E.
Deputies stopped Dangerfield and conducted a weapons pat down on the outside of his clothing. While they were patting him down, they felt a long skinny pipe with a spherical bulb at the end, commonly used for smoking methamphetamine.
The man was placed into custody and the pipe removed. Dangerfield immediately denied knowing the pipe was in his clothing and that the sweatshirt belonged to his father. He said the pipe must belong to his father and had slipped into his clothing without him knowing.
Deputies spoke with the person at the casino who Dangerfield had allegedly been attempting to sell drugs to. The casino provided video which showed Dangerfield approaching the woman multiple times, talking with her, then leaving. The woman admitted Dangerfield had been attempting to sell her drugs.
The man was taken into custody without incident for possession of methamphetamine found in the form of residue in the pipe as well as paraphernalia.
