To All Northern Nevada Residents, Effective July 1, 2020 NV Energy raised the fees for a customer disconnect/reconnect. From the original application, it is evident that these fees were increased in order to offset the $5 million dollar revenue decrease requested. Now, NV Energy seeks to fulfill an additional $120 million revenue decrease. While this reduction in revenue benefits residential customers in the short-term, the recent request continues to penalize Northern Nevadans from making needed repairs to their homes electrical systems.

It snowed six inches last night. This followed the four inches it snowed a day or so before. I’m grateful for the extra moisture for the trees, the lawn, all my plants and all the native trees. Stimulus Program Information

The coronavirus relief bill passed March 27 by Congress provides payments to individuals who make less than $100,000 a year. The payment total $1,200 for each adult who makes $75,000 or less, plus $500 per child. The payment amounts decrease if you make between $75,000 and $99,000. The income is determined by your latest tax return filed with the IRS. It will use your 2019 taxes if you have filed them already, or your 2018 taxes if you haven't. A portion of Sonoma Park in Carson City, which has been closed since earlier this month for maintenance, will re-open Friday. The main grass area will be opened to the public and dogs on Friday, March 27 at 3 p.m. weather permitting.
