Carson Valley Pops announces spring scholarship concert
The Carson Valley Pops Orchestra will present an eclectic array of music and announce the 2017 Scholarship winners at their Annual Spring Concert on April 1 at 7 p.m. at the Carson Valley CIVC Hall.
Led by Conductor C.J. Birch, local musicians will delight you with their zesty line up of selections including The Washington Post March, Moon River and the Second American Folk Rhapsody as well as musical theater favorites; The Phantom of the Opera ,The Sound of Music and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Enjoy a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink while perusing the selection of raffle prizes donated by area merchants.

— April 29, Pops Plays Pipers fund raiser, Pipers Opera House, Virginia City
— July 4, Patriotic Concert, Heritage Park, Gardnerville
— October 14, Autumn Concert
— December 9, Holiday Concert

The Carson Valley Pops Orchestra is a 501c3 organization made up of musicians in the community who donate their time and talent to provide free concerts to Carson Valley. There are about 35 – 40 members consisting of both amateur and professional musicians and middle school, high school and college students as well. CV Pops has awarded scholarships to graduates the last 4 years.
