Carson City's newest poke restaurant, 'The Poke Beach,' is now open for business

Carson City's newest poke restaurant, The Poke Beach, is now open for business in their location at 1442 E. William Street Unit 2 next to Starbucks.

The new restaurant has been under construction since April, but now they are officially open for business. It is the second restaurant of its kind in the Carson City area.

Temporary Schedule for the Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range begins Tuesday

CARSON CITY — In response to the seasonal transition affecting daylight hours, the Rifle and Pistol Range will temporarily change its hours to Tuesday through Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting Sept. 10, 2019. Daylight hours are beginning to reflect the occurrence of seasonal change. To ensure adequate and safe accommodations for range enthusiasts the range must adopt the new operational hours.

Reno shooting suspect taken into custody by Douglas County Sheriff's Office

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received information Monday from the Nevada Highway Patrol they were in pursuit of a Dodge Challenger driven by a suspect from Sundays shooting in Reno.
