Ahead Friday is the annual KTVN Share Your Christmas Drive-By Food Drive held locally at the Governor's Mansion and at Minden's Carson Valley Inn. It is also the 6th annual Project Empty Bowls at Carson Mall, which has become a local soup for the soul favorite stop.

Light snow showers will continue today and and pick up tonight with less than an inch possible. As always be careful out on the roads. You'll be able to warm up at a number of venues today, including a holiday swing party with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Casino Fandango's new Grand Ballroom and at the Carson City School District Orchestra Program concert at the community center.

Pets of the Homeless is a program that provides people in need and pets in need with resources to help their pets. Funds collected go directly to pay for the veterinary, nutritional and other care of pets of homeless individuals across the country.

The Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range, located at 4000 Flint Drive off Rifle Range Road, will have a modified schedule for its Covered and Prone 300-yard Rifle Line, the Consolidated Municipality of Carson City said, effective immediately.
