Carson City sheriff's deputies have two people in custody Thursday afternoon following a vehicle crash near the Carson City Railroad Museum in which a male fled from the stop and was carrying a handgun.

A 30-year-old man was booked into Carson City Jail for a felony warrant alleging burglary and other offenses, according to a sheriff's office booking report.

Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Nate Brehm said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating and told officers she didn't see the man.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor, said Brehm. The victim was conscious and suffered injuries to his leg and hip. NHP is also involved in the accident investigation.
