Carson City deputies make arrests for drug, indecent exposure and theft offenses
A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Wednesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor offenses, a sheriff's office booking report states.
Robert David Wroth was arrested in the area of North Carson Street and East Adams at 1:40 a.m. According to the arrest report, a deputy made a traffic stop on an unregistered vehicle without a license plate attached to the vehicle that was traveling northbound on Carson Street.
The officer made contact with the driver and learned the man's license had been revoked. The man gave the deputy consent to search the vehicle. Inside the officer located a "tooter straw" in the center console with suspected methamphetamine inside. A "tooter straw" is a device used to inhale illegal narcotics.
A second man in the vehicle was detained. He was read his Miranda warning and agreed to speak. He told the officer he had no knowledge of the tooter straw and that it was not his.
The suspect was read his Miranda warning. He advised he knew about the paraphernalia, that it was his and advised he had used methamphetamine on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Total bail amount listed: $4,274.
In other arrests:
— A 51-year-old Dayton man was arrested Tuesday, 2:46 p.m. in the area of Fall and Adams streets for misdemeanor possession of stolen property under $650. According to the arrest report, the man was in possession of a bicycle that had been stolen two days from a homeless encampment.
The owner of the bicycle saw the man riding the bicycle in the area of Washington and Stewart streets, the arrest report states. The owner called the sheriff's office. The suspect was located in possession of the bicycle, including a bicycle lock described by the victim, that was found in a duffel bag. He was arrested.
— A 43-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in the 3000 block of North Carson Street for suspicion of indecent exposure, a gross misdemeanor.
According to the arrest report, a deputy observed the man was in front of a business, standing in front of a large window facing east away from the roadway, and urinating. He was arrested. Bail: $2,500.
