Two held by Carson City deputies following crash, pursuit of armed man near railroad museum
Carson City sheriff's deputies have two people in custody Thursday afternoon following a vehicle crash near the Carson City Railroad Museum in which a male fled from the stop and was carrying a handgun.
The incident began at around 12:14 p.m. The subject with the gun was captured a few minutes later in the 2200 block of South Carson Street following a foot pursuit with deputies. A handgun, which was tossed, was located near the place where the male suspect was detained.
A second suspect, a female, was in the vehicle that crashed near the railroad museum.
Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies are continuing their investigation in the 2200 block of South Carson Street and at the railroad museum. Motorists are advised to stay clear of the areas.
