Douglas authorities release photos of Dec. 26 Gardnerville liquor store robbery
Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigators have released surveillance photos they hope will help them identify the man who robbed a Gardnerville Liquor store the day after Christmas.
The armed robbery was reported at 8:30 p.m., at Lucky Liquor, located in the 1300 block of Highway 395. The male suspect wore a red bandana around his face, a black hooded sweat shirt and red shorts with white stripes and black sneaker style shoes, said Douglas County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Pat Brooks.
The suspect may have a tattoo on his right wrist area. He is further described as a Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds. The suspect or suspects as there was one seen with the man walking down Toler Lane, may have left in an older SUV type vehicle that is light in color and two-tone with a noisy exhaust.
The robber used a small semi-automatic silver and black pistol. The bandana was around the lower part of his face when he demanded money from the register, said Brooks. The victim, pushed the alarm button and the male fled, grabbing a bottle of liquor from the shelf.
The victim watched the male exit the store and run in an easterly direction down Toler Lane with a second male.
