Carson Tahoe Physician Clinics opens the First 'Clinic at Walmart' in Carson City

Walmart and Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare have teamed up and announced today Carson City’s newest location for basic health care services called "The Clinic at Walmart" which will be run by Carson Tahoe Physician Clinics.
“By joining with Walmart to operate ‘The Clinic at Walmart,’ Carson Tahoe Physician Clinics is improving access to health care in our community,” said Richard Lawley, Vice President of Operations at CTPC. “Our clinic is staffed with licensed health care providers, even on nights and weekends, so families can walk in and know they will receive quality care without a long wait. Our mission is to serve this community, and the clinic is one more way we fulfill our mission.”
The care clinic will open 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8 inside the Walmart located at 3770 South Highway 395 off Topsy Lane.
The clinic will provide convenient, affordable access to basic health care services, seven days a week, with no appointment necessary. The walk-in health clinic is the first owned and operated by Carson Tahoe Physician Clinics in a Walmart. The clinic will be open for walk-in care Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For busy customers who need care, especially after working hours or on weekends, the clinic will treat common health ailments and offer routine services. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
— Acne
— Bladder infections
— Camp and school physicals
— Common vaccinations
— Ear aches
— Flu
— Insect bites and stings
— Minor wounds
— Sinus infections
— Upper respiratory infections
