Carson City neighborhood has experienced flooding for 50 years, a solution is now in sight
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Wed, 12/04/2019 - 2:27pmA 50-year-old flooding issue in a Carson City neighborhood could finally see a solution with the “North Carson Area Drainage Plan” proposed by Carson City Public Works.
According to Robert Fellows, P.E., Chief Stormwater Engineer for Public Works, an issue involving flooding or “ponding” in a particular Carson City neighborhood has been on the books as an issue since Carson City was still Ormsby County, going back to the 1970s.

The Crisis Cab is FISH’s transport vehicle, which will be used to transport those in crisis to Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center, a department of Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare.
Carson City’s Angels with Flowers delivers, makes 100th floral arrangement donation this year

The tournament is Saturday, September 29, at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Golfers may choose to play either the duffer-friendly East Course or the challenging links-style West Course. Play on both courses will be a 9 a.m. Shotgun start, with a Scramble format. Cost is $85 per player, and includes a Continental Breakfast, greens fee and cart, tee prizes, and a Barbecue lunch afterwards.
Crime Log: Carson City man turns self in on statutory sexual seduction warrant

- Ivan Botello, 26, a machinist from Carson City, at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Botello was arrested on a statutory sexual seduction warrant in his name after he turned himself in at the Carson City Sheriff's Office. Bail is set at $15,000.

NHP: One dead in Highway 395 accident in Douglas County
Submitted by editor on Wed, 06/08/2011 - 5:27pmOne person died in an accident today three miles south of Gardnerville in Douglas County, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports.
An early investigation into the accident shows that the driver of a 2004 Ford F-150 was pulling a camper trailer and traveling in the southbound lane of Highway 395. For reasons that remain unclear the Ford, occupied by a 73-year-old male from California, drifted into the northbound travel lane and hit a commercial vehicle driven by a Wisconsin resident, said NHP Trooper Daniel Lopez.
Carson City police chase ends; woman wanted on four felony warrants arrested

The crash happened Wednesday in the area of Northridge and Roop streets in Carson City. The suspect, Laurie Ann Hancock, 43, had four felony warrants for her arrest, confirmed Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

These developments include televisions in surgical waiting areas, an Emergency Department IT system complete with patient monitors, and emergency cots to prepare for crisis situations.
