Visitors Bureau, BAC team up to show acclaimed street musician film 'Find Your Way'
Carson City Visitors Bureau and the Brewery Arts Center are partnering to promote the acclaimed film, "Find Your Way: A Busker's Documentary" Sept. 19. Leading up to the showing, performers will be taking to the streets of Carson City to showcase their talent and promote the film.
In the heart-felt documentary, one busker turned filmmaker takes viewers inside the world of street musicians. Filmed over the course of three years, five talented artists bare all as they cope with "making it" in a society driven relentlessly by the allure of fame. While some dream of more, others are resigned to life as a street musician — and even embrace it.
The film features 90's rocker Chris Ballew of the Presidents of the U.S.A. and violin virtuoso Joshua Bell, in the hour and a half journey that makes viewers think twice about who they may be passing on the street.
The film will be shown at the Brewery Arts Center on Sept. 19 beginning at 7 p.m. General Admission is $10. Go here for ticket information and here for a trailer of the film.
