Carson City deputies make arrests for property destruction, probation violation
A 32-year-old Carson City man as arrested Tuesday in the area of Roop and Hot Springs Road for misdemeanor suspicion of destruction of property, a sheriff's deputy report said.
Deputies were called at 6:58 p.m. to the area for a domestic dispute. Deputies met with the reporting party who stated her boyfriend had punched her windshield following an argument and then left the area.
The suspect was located at the corner of Roop and Hot Springs. A deputy made contact with the man, who immediately put his hands in his pockets. He was asked to remove his hands from his pockets. The man was asked again in which he then became verbally uncooperative, the report states.
A deputy asked the man to turn around so he could be checked for weapons. The man, who had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, was resistant and was again verbally uncooperative but complied. During a search deputies located a pocket knife, which was removed for safety reasons.
Following the search the man continued to be uncooperative and accused deputies of harassing him. He was informed they were investigating the dispute between him and his girlfriend in which the sheriff's department was called, the report states.
Deputies interviewed the woman separately who stated the man became angry when she told him she did not want him staying with her because he was drunk. She said he then punched the windshield and broke her rear view mirror, the arrest report states. Deputies took photos of the damage to the vehicle. She stated she wished to file charges against the man for destruction of property, according to the arrest report.
The man was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak and said the woman hit him in the head and face as she drove him to her apartment and that she threw him down the stairs as he was trying to leave. Deputies did not observe any marks on the man's face, head or torso. Bail: $637.

— A 44-year-old Carson City man, James Patterson, was arrested early Wednesday morning for felony suspicion of parole and probation violation.
According to the arrest report, deputies located the man at a casino playing a slot machine. The man stated he did not have identification on him but identified himself. He advised was as actively on Nevada Parole and Probation.
A records check with dispatch confirmed he was on probation with conditions including not to gamble. Dispatch contacted Nevada Parole and Probation, which advised to arrest him on its behalf. He was being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
