Feel the Groove: It Takes A Village Music Festival featured Labor Day weekend in Genoa
The historic town of Genoa is having a music festival on Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 3 from 2-7:30 p.m. in the stockade at the beautiful Mormon Station State Historic Park.
This festival will feature 2 stages of entertainment. Beginning on the Village Stage will be award winning Dougie L. for the National Sinatra competition singing the Great American Songbook.
Bringing you the funk, rhythms & blues from the Motown era is Gruve Nation. Beginning at 5:15 p.m. on the Grand Stage is ROCKETMAN, an exact reenactment of an early Elton John concert, featuring gorgeous, exact replica costumes-(many actually worn by Elton). It is a trip down yellow brick road.
Festival Food will be featured by Genoa Station: Barbecued ribs and kabobs. Come as an obvious icon of the 70's and enter the Celebrity Costume Contest, winner gets $250 cash.
VIP seating up close to stage is $38, General Admission $28 - bring your own seating arrangement. $5 kids under 12.
