Bingo night fundraiser held Saturday for local boy in critical condition following vehicle accident
A Family Bingo Night fundraiser for a local boy, Bryar Phelps, who was injured in a vehicle accident and is now in critical care, is scheduled for Saturday, June 22 at 5 p.m. in the Carson Mall Shopping Center.
All proceeds from the event will go toward Bryar and his family.
On June 11, Bryar was involved in a vehicle accident. He was care flighted to Renown from Carson Tahoe Hospital where he was treated for a collapsed lung. Bryar, in a panic, pulled out his ventilator tubes, and it was learned he had also suffered injuries to his trachea and abdomen. Air was entering his body, and was quickly flown to Stanford Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where he remains with his mother, Mandi Phelps.
A GoFundMe page has been setup for Bryar. $2,368 of the $5,000 goal to help the family with medical costs has been raised so far. The link for the GoFundMe account can be found here.
On Saturday, bingo card sales begin at 4:30 p.m. A total of six cards per game costs $20 with a total of 10 games in the book. An extra three cards for all of the games costs $5 and $2 for bingo dabbers.
Prizes won from the event include various gift cards and gift baskets donated by local businesses.
The Carson Mall Shopping Center is located at 1227 S. Carson Street.
