61-year-old Carson City man arrested by SET deputies for sexually assaulting a minor in Lyon County
— A 61-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Hot Springs and Nye Roads for suspicion of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 14.
According to the report, Special Enforcement Team deputies arrested Jose Joe Gonzales Jr. on a Lyon County Warrant for the offense after learning he was driving a 1990 Chrysler sedan in the area.
Deputies located the vehicle and took him into custody on the warrant.
Bail: $250,000
— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 1800 block of Russel Way Friday afternoon for domestic battery after allegedly battering the father of her children.
According to the report, the woman and her ex-partner were having an argument about the custody exchange of their children. The woman told deputies her ex had pushed her during the argument, but she could not remember how. She did remember that she had punched him in the face, however, but now how he pushed her.
Deputies made contact with the ex and his current girlfriend at the Mac Center. He told deputies he met with his ex to pick up their two children. He said she became upset about having to meet at the Mac Center to drop off the children.
He then told deputies he watched as she walked towards his current girlfriend in an aggressive manner, and he stepped in between them to stop a possible fight. At that time, he said, she grabbed him by the neck and struck the left side of his face with her fists. Deputies noted marks on both his neck and the inside of his mouth.
Deputies spoke with the current girlfriend, who said she went with her boyfriend to pick up the children. She said the ex began to yell at both her and the boyfriend, and she walked back to her car to avoid an argument. She said at that time, the ex began “running towards her in an aggressive manner,” and the boyfriend stepped between them with his hands out to his side. Then the ex grabbed his neck and struck him with her fist.
Deputies spoke to a witness who was walking from the Mac Center at the time of the incident, who confirmed the boyfriend and current girlfriend’s story.
The woman was taken into custody for domestic battery first and was transported to the jail without incident.
Bail: $3,137
— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1700 block of Wendy Lane for violating his probation.
According to the report, deputies responded to a residence on reports of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the man, who was one of the subjects involved in the dispute, who said he and his girlfriend were arguing. There were no visible marks on either party.
However, deputies noted that the man was slurring his words and had red, watery eyes as well as the smell of alcohol emitting from his breath. Dispatch advised he was on probation with a no alcohol clause.
The man blew a preliminary breath test which resulted in a .115 percent BAC. He was arrested and taken into custody for violating his probation.
Bail: $3,000
Warrants:
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was transported to the Carson City Jail on a Grand Larceny Auto warrant from the Carson City Justice Court as a fugitive of justice.
The warrant for Bill Ellis was issued on May 17.
Bail: $20,000
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3000 block of Melanie Lane on a contempt of court warrant out of Carson City Justice Court.
Deputies arrested the man after responding to a domestic disturbance. The warrant was issued on June 5 for failing to appear in court.
Bail: $1,000 cash only
— A 46-year-old Carson City woman was transported from the Washoe County Jail to the Carson City Jail on a warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for contempt of court.
Bail: $440 cash only
