Christopher Scholl was arrested at 2 a.m., Thursday in the 1700 block of Fair Way after a foot chase with officers. According to the arrest report, officers were patrolling the area of Empire Ranch Road and Morgan Mill Road. A vehicle entered the Empire Ranch neighborhood and began driving around and came to stop in front of a home on Fair Way.

Officers approached the vehicle and found a woman hiding in the passenger seat. The woman said she was with her friend "John" and they were picking someone up. A few minutes later Scholl emerged from the front gate of the home and told officers he was visiting a friend "Steve" at the house, the arrest report states.

The officer told Scholl that Steve doesn't live there and that the officer spoke with the owner. Scholl admitted to lying. The arresting officer attempted to detain the man but he was pushed away. A struggle ensued and that is when Scholl punched the officer in the face with a closed fist, twice, knocking the officer's glasses to the ground, bending them, the report states.
