Each political election season, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office receives numerous complaints of political signs being taken, vandalized, or even property being severely damaged related to the political elections.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has received multiple complaints of residents hearing gun shots emitting from the Deer Run Road area, Sedge Road off of Deer Run Road, and the Goni Road area north of town.

A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday night near Tiger Drive for suspicion of battery, resisting arrest and Parole and Probation violation, a sheriff's booking report states.

UPDATE 11:04AM: At approximately 9:21 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous report of a dead body in a vacant field at the corner of Silver Sage Drive and Stafford Way in South Carson City. Patrol deputies responded to the area and located the body of an adult male near the center of the field, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong in a news release.

Multiple groups were in front of the legislature Saturday, with the regular every-Saturday Black Lives Matter protest along with the counter “All lives matter” protesters, but this week a new group showed up to have their voices heard in the form of education advocates.

A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on a violation of a suspended sentence warrant, issued in Oct. 2019 by the Carson City Justice Court, after calling 911 to report that two men had come into her room pretending to be cops searching for drugs.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for assistance in identifying three suspects involved with a shooting that had occurred yesterday morning in the area of Stanford Drive.

UPDATE: According to an update news release from the Carson City Sheriff's Office, the woman was released from custody and has been cooperative with authorities. Further details will be provided pending the results of the autopsy report, according to the release.

A 22-year-old Carson City woman is being held after she allegedly miscarried her pregnancy and put the fetus in a freezer, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

UPDATE 5:11PM: The assailants are described as three males in their 20s. Two were wearing dark colored clothing and the other was in light colored clothing. All three suspects were described to be in hoodies and wearing face coverings.

UPDATE 2:23PM: After 8 a.m. Thursday morning, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office was notified of a patient at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center Emergency Room with a gunshot to the hand.

At arrival, deputies were informed by the victim that three unknown persons forced their way into his home at the 1500 block of Stanford Drive and shot him. The unknown assailants fled immediately, and the victim transported himself to the hospital, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong in a news release.

A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested for allegedly attempting to break into Nevada National Guard Civil Support Team vehicles, trespassing, and destruction of private property.

A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Monday for suspicion of felony attempted residential burglary, according to a sheriff's office booking report.

A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Airport Road and Woodside for domestic battery first and obstructing a public officer.

According to the report, the man was arrested after deputies were dispatched to a residence regarding a domestic battery in progress. Dispatch advised that the suspect was hitting the reporting party.

A 26-year-old transient man was arrested in the 2200 block of N. Carson Street on three counts of battery with a deadly weapon, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of indecent conduct after allegedly attacking a sheriff’s deputy.

A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested by the Tri-County Gang Unit withe the assistance of the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team, on five felony charges, one gross misdemeanor charge, and three misdemeanor charges after he allegedly committed felony domestic battery.

According to the report, David Sanchez is the president of the Deadly Sins Motorcycle Club Carson City Nevada chapter and he is associated with the Vagos Motorcycle Club and was arrested in the 900 block of Woodside Drive early Friday morning.

Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church in Carson City donated proceeds raised from community rummage sale to Carson City Search and Rescue to support the replacement of an aging search and rescue vehicle. The 16th annual Cops and Kids Safe Streets Party, hosted by the Carson City Sheriff's Office, will be held Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office administration building, 911 East Musser Street.

Public safety, awareness and community are at the center of this popular annual spring event where the theme is “Cops and Kids: Where the Community and Law Enforcement Come Together.”

A 33-year-old Carson City man was taken into custody Tuesday for a felony warrant and, subsequently, providing false information to avoid being arrested for the warrant, a sheriff's deputy said.

A 59-year-old man was arrested on two counts suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon following an incident that happened at a North Carson Street motel, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

For the sixth year in a row, music and skating will be brought to Reno in an all day, all ages party and skate competition. This year, Carson City’s own Wheel House will be sponsoring the event along with Suffix Skateboarding.

The event will be held at Jub Jub’s Thirst Parlor in Reno, located at 71 S. Wells Avenue, from noon to midnight.

A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Sherman and Highway 50 on multiple felonies, including eluding with endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer. Misdemeanor charges included resisting a public officer, reckless driving, and failure to use due care.
