Don’t let his expression fool you—King Biscuit is one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet.

King Biscuit is an almost 3-year-old short-haired gray tabby with handsome white markings and a distinctive white stripe running down his nose that gives him the appearance of being perpetually grumpy. While he may look like he’s judging the world around him, nothing could be further from the truth. Beneath that serious face is a gentle, affectionate soul just waiting for the right person to discover him and help him achieve his full potential.

Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations, King Biscuit is ready to find a forever home where he can finally relax and be himself. King Biscuit is nervous around strangers and new situations, so he doesn’t always make the best first impression. He looks forbidding, so people are reluctant to try and touch him. But if you’re willing to move slowly and give him a few minutes to build trust, you’ll quickly see his true personality emerge. Before long, he’ll be happily kneading away, earning his royal title as a biscuit-maker extraordinaire. His lack of confidence stems from being bullied by other cats in his previous home. As a result, he needs an adopter who understands that patience and kindness can work wonders. In a calm, loving environment where he feels safe and respected, King Biscuit’s affectionate nature will shine.

He would do best as the only cat in the household, where he can enjoy being the center of attention and never have to worry about competing with other felines. However, he could also do well with a calm, non-aggressive cat who would respect his space and help him build confidence. King Biscuit has not been around dogs and would likely find them intimidating. He would also do best in a home without small children, where the environment is quiet and predictable.

For someone willing to look beyond first impressions, King Biscuit offers a rewarding opportunity to watch a shy cat blossom into a devoted companion. With just a little patience and gentleness, this handsome boy will prove himself to be an extraordinary addition to the family.

King Biscuit is available for adoption through Catmandu and is waiting for someone to give him the chance he deserves.  He hopes you will visit him this weekend at 1829 Brown Street, Friday – Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
