Nevada Day has always been a community effort. From organizing parade entries to producing the traditional printed program, countless people have helped make Nevada Day the event we know and love today.

Now, under the leadership of Executive Director Chantell Peck, Nevada Day is taking some important steps into the digital age.

Peck has been instrumental in introducing technology that makes organizing the parade easier, improves communication with participants, and gives the public new ways to stay informed.

“My goal was to make things easier for everyone involved, from documenting processes and organizing the parade lineup to communicating with participants and engaging with our community,” says Peck.

One of the biggest changes is the Nevada Day event app, designed to put parade information, event details, and important announcements right at your fingertips. For years, the printed Nevada Day program has been a parade-day staple, thanks to the dedication of local publishers, advertisers, and community partners.

As Nevada Day moves toward more digital communication, those contributions remain an important part of its history. And while the future may include fewer printed programs, the idea of a special collector’s edition remains worth exploring.

For now, the message to Nevada Day attendees is simple: Download the Nevada Day app and get ready to enjoy the celebration in a whole new way.

The app is intended to make it easier to explore Nevada Day activities, find parade information, and receive updates and announcements as the celebration unfolds.

Get Connected Before Parade Day!  Download the Nevada Day app before the festivities begin so you’re ready to explore events, follow parade information, and stay up to date with the latest Nevada Day news.

As Nevada Day looks toward the next 50 years, community ideas are always welcome. Whether it’s a commemorative program, new activities, or creative ways to share Nevada history, the Nevada Day Board welcomes suggestions.

The Nevada Day, Inc. Board extends a special thank-you to Chantell Peck for her efforts to help modernize Nevada Day, as well as for the countless hours of behind-the-scenes work she dedicates to planning and coordinating the Nevada Day Parade.

Her commitment, hard work, and attention to detail help bring this beloved tradition to life each year.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many individuals, volunteers, businesses, and organizations whose dedication and support over the years have helped make Nevada Day the cherished celebration it is today.

The tools may change, but the heart of Nevada Day remains the same: celebrating Nevada and bringing our community together.

Did you know this year the theme for the Nevada Day Parade is Pumpkins, Pioneers and Tale Tales?
