Meet Yuli, a Carson High senior who has worked incredibly hard to overcome challenges and create a future she is proud of.
Yuli loves swimming, shopping, baking, journaling, getting dressed up, doing her makeup and, of course, catching up on some much-needed sleep. She also loves spending time with her little brother, who is one of her biggest motivations and reminds her to keep pushing toward her goals.
Yuli’s high school journey has not always been easy, but she has shown incredible determination and growth. She made the decision to turn things around, worked hard to make up credits and finished her junior year with a 4.0 GPA. Now, as a senior, she is on track for graduation with all of her credits completed.
One of Yuli’s biggest accomplishments is being accepted to the University of Nevada, Reno, where she plans to study Criminal Justice. She is excited to take the lessons she has learned throughout high school and use them to build a future she is passionate about.
Yuli is proof that your past does not have to define your future. Her perseverance, growth and determination have brought her an incredible distance, and she is just getting started.
