On Friday, Carson City’s new independent book shop, Bub’s Bookstore, celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Beginning at 1 p.m., dozens of patrons began packing the newly-renovated building, which once served as a multi-themed wedding chapel.

Shortly after, Bub’s owners cut their ribbon alongside Mayor Lori Bagwell, members from the Chamber of Commerce, and Carson City Manager Glen Martel.
