Carson City sheriff's deputies make felony domestic battery arrest early New Year's morning

A Carson City man was arrested early Wednesday morning for suspicion of felony domestic battery with prior conviction and other alleged offenses, a sheriff's office arrest report states.

Albert William Buher, was taken into custody in the 1800 block of Walker Drive at 3:22 a.m. after deputies were dispatched to the area for a domestic dispute. He was also arrested for suspicion of two counts open and gross lewdness, a felony failure to appear warrant out of Lyon County and a misdemeanor warrant out of Carson City.

Following an investigation into the incident, where the man was seen by witnesses without clothes attacking the victim, deputies noted the victim's face was red and swollen and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Deputies learned the man was inside the residence and knocked on the door of a residence, announcing "Sheriff's Office" and instructed the suspect to come to the door. He did not respond to commands. Dispatch advised he had two confirmed warrants, a felony warrant out of Lyon County and a misdemeanor warrant for malicious destruction of property issued out of Carson City.

Deputies used a PA system to attempt to get the man to come outside, in which the commands were ignored, the report states. Officers also began giving loud verbal commands for the man to come to the front door and surrender. Eventually the garage door opened and the man exited. The man complied with further demands and was arrested, the report states.

He also was booked for a felony warrant for failure to appear warrant out of Lyon County and a misdemeanor warrant alleging malicious destruction of property issued Dec. 23, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court, the report states. He is being held without bail for the failure to appear warrants through parole and probation.

He was flagged in local dispatch for violence with officers and had been arrested twice in Carson City for not registering as a convicted felon.

He was taken into custody for failure to register. During a search officers located different credit cards that did not have his name on them, as well as a Costco card with another person's name and a player's card with another person's name, the report states.

He also had multiple receipt-less return gift cards in his pockets from Lowe's and Cal Ranch stores. He also had around 25 receipts indicating he had been in Carson City since Dec. 17. According to the arrest report, three men were intoxicated, standing outside of a business and had been fighting.

The 31-year-old man, who it was learned had the domestic battery warrants for his arrest out of Reno, began urinating on a wall. All three men were detained and asked to sit.

The 23-year-old then became increasingly argumentative about being detained, the report states. When the 31-year-old man with the warrants was moved away from the group and handcuffed, the 23-year-old man stood up, became argumentative, and had to be restrained after not heeding to several lawful commands to remain seated, creating a safety hazard to officers who were investigating, the arrest report states.

Bail for the 23-year-old: $412. Bail for the 31-year-old: $15,865.

— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 3:19 a.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street for a misdemeanor warrant alleging petit larceny. Bail: $500.
