Carson City families enjoy Christmas Parade

Santa and his helpers wound their way through the streets of downtown Carson City Saturday as part of the Downtown 20/20 Christmas Parade.

Families and friends crowded Curry and Telegraph to enjoy food vendors, face painting, and the USS Nevada - a Burning-Man-art-car-turned-parade-float that hosted guests on board during the parade.

Afterwards, Santa's lap became the destination as attendees made a line to tell him all their Christmas wishes.

Christmas parade Saturday in downtown Carson City

Dashing through the snow via a U.S.S. Nevada Burning Man Art Car will be the order of the morning for Santa Claus, a band of elves and anyone who wishes to participate in Saturday's Downtown Carson City Christmas Parade.

Arrg, Santa be coming to the Downtown 2020 Parade Dec. 12

Event Date:

You better watch out, you better not cry, or you may be walking the plank. Santa Claus is coming to town, but he'll be arriving on the U.S.S. Nevada Burning Man Art Car instead of his usual sleigh. He will be escorted by some scurvy pirate elves. Come down to Telegraph Square in Downtown Carson City Saturday, Dec. 12 for the Christmas Parade sponsored by Carson City Downtown 20/20.
