A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 2:21 a.m. in the area of North Plaza and East Caroline streets on misdemeanor charges of being an intoxicated pedestrian, obstructing an officer and resisting arrest with violence, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of North Carson Street for a vehicle accident in a parking lot. Dispatch alerted officers that the subjects involved in the accident were confrontational and getting violent with casino security.

Another deputy, advised of the situation, located the man on North Plaza Street arguing with casino security, the arrest report states.

A Carson City deputy arrived and made contact with the man, who emitted a strong odor of alcohol and was slurring his words. The man resisted arrest and tried to prevent officers from placing his arms behind his back. He was advised of his Miranda rights. He stated that he understood his rights. He was taken to jail where he called the arresting officer an “Asian bitch” and “f***ing chink” referring to the officer’s Asian ethnicity. The man submitted to a preliminary breath test of .106.
