Pedestrian struck by vehicle at Highway 50 and Airport Road, Care Flight ordered
A male pedestrian was stuck by a vehicle, reported at around 5:38 p.m. Wednesday night at the intersection of Highway 50 and Airport Road in Carson City. A Care Flight air ambulance was dispatched and will land at the nearby Carson City Fire Department Training Center.
The victim appears to be conscious but injured in several places including the head and shoulder areas. He will be flown to the trauma unit at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Traffic in the area was re-routed. The Carson City Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident. The Nevada Highway Patrol has been notified.
