Carson City sheriff's deputies make battery, drug-related arrests
A 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 12:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of E. Nye Lane for suspicion of misdemeanor battery, a sheriff's deputy report states.
According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of East Nye Lane in reference to a disturbance. A female called the sheriff's office asking for a deputy and then the phone disconnected.
Deputies made contact with the victim who advised she had an argument with the suspect, and that when the victim was calling the sheriff's office, the suspect hit her in the face while she was on the phone with dispatch.
The victim advised she would press charges against the woman for battery.
Deputies located the suspect at a market on East Nye Lane. She was placed under citizen's arrest for suspicion of battery. Bail: $1,137.
— A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor disturbing the peace warrant, issued July 11, 2019 out of Carson City Municipal Court. Bail: $250.
— A 36-year-old man was arrested Saturday, 4:20 p.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street for misdemeanor violation of alternative sentencing conditions. Bail: $3,000.
— A 35-year-old Carson City woman, Sarah Leslie Moresi, was arrested Saturday in the 200 block of West Caroline Street for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team deputy was assigned to the area. He observed a vehicle in a parking lot and a person who appeared to be loitering and made contact. The officer asked for her identification, which she gave the deputy. Dispatch advised she was on supervision with the Department of Alternative Sentencing for a drug-related arrest, the report states. She had a condition to not be in possession drugs and to submit to a search and seizure.
The deputy informed the woman that she had a condition to submit to a search. The woman threw up her hands and gestured to her vehicle. The deputy searched the vehicle and located a purse that contained an eyeglass container with a meth pipe inside and a trace amount of methamphetamine as well as a folding knife blade with a trace amount of methamphetamine. Bail amount listed: $6,637.
— A 25-year-old transient male, Harley Dean Rough, was arrested Saturday, 9:25 p.m. by the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a gross misdemeanor warrant issued out of Elko and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
During an investigation, a deputy checked identification of the man, which returned with a warrant out of Elko. When deputies went to detain the man, who was sitting, he said he would not stand, and then reached for a knapsack on the floor in front of his feet. Officers became concerned with their safety and detained the man as he attempted to pull away, the arrest report states.
During the search deputies located a razor blade concealed in his clothing. The blade fell to the floor during the search. Also located was a 2-inch thick metal bolt in his right back pocket that was tethered to a handkerchief, which appeared to be an improvised weapon, the report states.
Officers searched his property and located a broken methamphetamine pipe with a trace amount of methamphetamine inside, as well as two tin cups with residue inside. He was arrested for the warrant, and suspicion of meth possession and drug paraphernalia possession. Bail: $18,637.
